Sell land online: list a plot or agricultural property

A land buyer needs to understand the parcel before arranging a visit: which land is offered, how to reach it, what the asking amount covers and how its area was measured. Put those facts alongside a map location on MarkMyProperty, then connect directly through the private contact workflow.

Free marking and listing · No platform brokerage commission · Contact reveals and optional services use credits and plans.

How to list it on MarkMyProperty

Sign in and open the marking flow. These six screens take you from location to publication. You can go back to correct details before saving.

  1. Step 1 of 6

    Location: find the actual property

Search an address, area or landmark and select Find. Use Drop a pin for one spot, or Draw the boundary and tap the corners of a parcel. Check the position against the entrance and written address. A drawing helps explain location; it is not a surveyed boundary.

  2. Step 2 of 6

    Type: choose the offer

Choose the closest property type and select Sell it. Just mark it records a place; it does not advertise a sale. Identify the actual unit or parcel, rather than a whole building or holding when only part is offered.

  3. Step 3 of 6

Details: explain the amount and space

Enter a positive asking price or value, currency, area and unit. Explain what the area measures and where it comes from. Add an original title and description, and actual room and furnishing details where relevant. Review any area prefilled from a drawing before continuing.

  4. Step 4 of 6

    Photos: show the offered property

Add current images you have permission to publish. Show the actual unit or parcel and its approach, rather than nearby scenery alone. Remove personal documents and sensitive details. The photo step lets you continue without images, but useful photographs help a reader understand the offer.

  5. Step 5 of 6

    Contact: identify the lister

Choose your actual listing role. Sell and Rent require a valid phone number or email in the private contact fields. Do not paste contact or identity documents into the public description. Interested people use the credit-based contact reveal workflow; a reveal is not verification.

  6. Step 6 of 6

Publish: review visibility and the summary

Choose public visibility for public discovery, or private visibility for an owner record. Check purpose, map, price, currency, area and contact before saving. Open the resulting property page, then use My Properties to edit the existing record when the offer changes.

Identify the parcel, not just a place name

State whether you offer the whole holding or a particular part. Choose the closest plot or agricultural property type and select Sell it. Describe observable terrain and current use. A land category does not certify zoning, building permission, water rights or eligibility to buy.

Explain the asking amount and area together

Enter the total asking price and its currency. If you also quote a rate per unit of land, label it separately and make the figures consistent. Enter area in square feet, square metres, square yards, acres or hectares, and describe its source. Regional units need a stated local definition; do not assume a bigha has one worldwide size.

Use a drawing to explain the shape

Use Drop a pin for an orientation point or Draw the boundary to tap the parcel corners. At least three corners are needed for a drawing. Adjust the editable outline and review its calculated area. Satellite imagery and a user-entered polygon are aids to orientation, not official parcel boundaries, a survey or proof of ownership.

Separate physical access from legal rights

Explain the entrance and the route you can actually describe. If a track crosses another parcel, say which access questions remain unresolved. A visible road does not prove a right to use it. Mention utilities only with an accurate description of their status, such as a visible connection or information that still needs confirmation.

Make photographs and the description work together

Show the approach, entrance, land from several positions and relevant visible features. State what each image depicts, especially if it includes neighboring land. Describe included structures or equipment explicitly. Keep ownership documents, personal identifiers and private contact details out of the public text and photographs.

Publish and maintain one clear land offer

Supply a valid private phone number or email, review the parcel details and choose public visibility. Check the published page and respond to questions about access, measurements and what is included. Use My Properties to correct the existing record. Marking and listing are free, with no platform brokerage commission; contact reveals and optional plans have separate pricing.

Questions about listing your property

Where can I list land for sale without a broker?

You can create an owner land sale listing on MarkMyProperty. Select the actual plot or agricultural type, choose Sell, add the price, currency, area and private contact details, and publish with public visibility. The platform charges no brokerage commission; other services and local transaction costs are separate.

Can I draw the outline of my plot before listing it?

Yes. In the Location step, choose Draw the boundary and tap at least three corners. You can adjust the outline and review the calculated area. The drawing communicates your entered shape; it is not an official survey or ownership verification.

Should the land listing show a total price or a price per acre?

Use the total asking amount for the offered parcel in the price field, with its currency. Explain any per-acre or other unit rate separately in the description, and keep the total, area and rate consistent.

Does selecting agricultural land prove that anyone can buy or build on it?

No. The category describes the submitted listing. Purchase eligibility, permitted use, boundaries and transfer requirements depend on local evidence and processes, which must be checked independently.
