MarkMyProperty

Property data sources and methodology

Understand the evidence behind the map before interpreting a listing, country count or calculator result.

Where listing information comes from

Property information is entered through the MarkMyProperty listing workflows used by owners and other listing contributors. A public listing describes what its contributor has supplied. Its presence on the website does not independently establish legal ownership, surveyed boundaries, approval for a particular use or the right to sell or rent it.

Public inventory and coverage

Country counts and location pages use the public search inventory. Private and hidden listings are excluded. The website also suppresses obvious demo entries and extra copies identified by its duplicate checks. These checks improve discovery but do not guarantee that every remaining listing is unique, complete or current.

What a country count means

A count represents publicly visible property records on MarkMyProperty, including sale, rental and marked locations. It is not the number of properties in the whole country. A marked location is not automatically available for purchase or rent. Country snapshots are refreshed through cached website data, so updates may take time to appear.

Locations and drawn boundaries

Map positions and boundary shapes describe locations supplied through listing workflows. Place names may be incomplete or differ between contributors. A point or polygon on the map is not a legal survey or title record. Confirm important location and boundary facts independently before making a transaction decision.

Prices and comparisons

Amounts are asking prices rather than completed transaction prices. Always check the listing currency, purpose, area unit and rental period. We do not treat a small platform sample as a representative market index or infer appreciation, rental demand or safety from listing counts.

Visibility and contact information

Owner contact information is handled through the platform contact workflow. Public listing pages, location hubs and structured data do not publish private owner phone numbers or email addresses. Developers may separately choose to publish professional contact information on their public profiles.

Professional profiles and verification

MMP Pro identifies a professional subscription profile. A paid plan is not proof of professional licensing, legal ownership or independent expertise. Any verification status displayed on a listing should be understood according to its stated scope; it does not replace checks needed for a transaction.

Calculator assumptions

The calculator pages show their formulas and exclusions. They use your inputs in one selected currency. Selecting a different currency changes the unit without converting the numbers. Estimates do not establish lender eligibility, future prices, tax treatment or investment performance.

How product guides are written

Product guides describe the website workflows and calculation methods. They identify MarkMyProperty as their publisher and display a review date when the content is reviewed. They do not claim local visits or professional qualifications that have not been established. Local research pages require evidence appropriate to their specific claims.

Corrections and outdated information

Owners can update their listings through My Properties. If you notice a misleading location, outdated offer or incorrect guide statement, contact support with the page URL and the specific issue. Include supporting evidence where available.
