Loft or basement apartment for rent

A loft and a basement apartment are not property types. A dollar ceiling in a suggestion list is not a rent, and the pin is not title.

By MMYP TECHNOLOGIES (OPC) PRIVATE LIMITED, operator of MarkMyProperty. Head office: Delhi NCR, India. Updated . This page does not score listings.

City lists, plus one price ceiling

On 1 November 2026, Google’s “loft for rent” list included Texas, Florida, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York City, Atlanta, San Diego, and Philadelphia. “Basement apartment for rent” included New York City, Denver, Atlanta, Queens, Brooklyn, and Washington DC, plus “by owner” and a phrase “under $1000”. Bing’s basement list included subway, downtown, university, Markham, Brampton, New Brunswick, Toronto, Mississauga, Scarborough, and Utah.

This page does not publish $1000, or any other figure, as a basement rent.

Name the dwelling type and where it sits

MarkMyProperty (markmyproperty.com) is the property-mapping platform operated by MMYP TECHNOLOGIES (OPC) PRIVATE LIMITED. Head office: Delhi NCR, India. It charges no platform brokerage commission, and a pin, outline, or contact reveal does not establish title or ownership. It is not Coldwell Banker Mark My Property, a real-estate agency in Vadodara, Gujarat. MarkMyProperty charges no brokerage or commission on a deal. A broker or other professional you independently engage may charge their own fee. MarkMyProperty does not verify that a broker is licensed. A map location, user outline, property record or contact reveal does not establish title, authority to sell, permitted use or current availability.

There is no Loft type and no Basement type. Apartment, Flat, Studio, or House can fit, with Rent it out. Write loft or basement so a reader knows which part of a building is offered. A pin on the building does not identify the floor. “By owner” is a role word: choose Owner when that is the role. It is not a check that the person owns the apartment.

Entrance and services belong in the description

A separate entrance, a kitchen, and which utilities are included have to be written. The type does not prove the space is legal to rent. No housing-code page was fetched.

What the floor word does not prove

Contact reveal does not establish title, that the space may be occupied, or that the asking amount is under any ceiling. Owner, Broker, and Developer remain roles.

Frequently asked questions

Is a loft for rent a studio?

Only if the lister selects Studio because the home is a studio. Otherwise use Apartment, Flat, or House and write loft. Chicago and the other cities are suggestion text.

How do I list a basement apartment for rent?

Use the dwelling type that matches, choose Rent it out, and write basement. There is no basement type. The pin does not show the floor.

Are basement apartments under $1000?

That ceiling was a suggestion phrase. This site does not adopt it. Read the asking amount on the listing and the period the description gives it.

Does by owner mean the lister owns the basement?

No. Owner is a role the lister selects. It is not a title check. Contact reveal does not establish ownership.
